Prank Archive and Lube Jobs

Tabachi has created a gigantic archive of prank phone calls. It includes gigs of prank calls, some that you can’t find anywhere else. There’s even I fairly large selection of PLA material that isn’t available anywhere but in Tabachi’s archive. Tabachi is promising exciting things to come for this archive, such as a built-in media player, a streaming radio station of prank calls and the ability to submit your own prank calls to it.

LOL JK ITS A STILLBORN!

Laugh Track Matt has been hard at work on new cactus art. Here is my favorite of his new batch. It’s based on an old Facebook group that trevor set up to anger thousands of stay-at-home moms that had nothing better to do but visit Facebook pages that made them angry. I bet if you set LTmatt some beer money, he would set you drawings, which would fund even more drunken cactus drawings.

Visit Matt’s Facebook where you’ll find more cactus drawings.

Visit Matt’s YouTube where he posts the pranks that RBCP is too afraid to post.

A lot of new material has been posted on PLA’s YouTube lately. My personal favorite is above, where calls are made to recent customers of an oil change business. But you also need to watch our drive-thru pranks, our psychics and phone sex operator pranks, our portrait studio pranks, our Christmas Eve pranks, our convenience store pranks, our kitchen appliance pranks, and Rob The Hyena’s security cam prank. Just subscribe to PLA’s YouTube so you don’t miss all these amazing things!

And speaking of YouTube, you’ll also want to subscribe to Madhouse Live’s YouTube – a prank was just posted where Carlito and RBCP get an employee to kick random customers out of the store. And Legend’s prank call YouTube, where he posts a lot of good pranks by other people and himself. And Laugh Track Matt’s YouTube, where you’ll find plenty of PLA shenanigans.

Perhaps the most exciting recent news is that on Friday, January 18th, RBCP and Staci (from The Fun Show) did an impromptu prank show that lasted 90 minutes. If you’re subscribed to the main phonelosers.org feed, you’ll see the show appear in your podcast readers. Or you can click below to hear it now.

Artwork by Matt Hill0ck

Here's a picture of our beloved MattMatt Hillock, known to Cacti Radio listeners as Laugh Track Matt, recently sent me a package in the mail, not containing anthrax as I expected, but a collection of PLA-related drawings! So prepare yourself for a collection of pictures that are much more impressive than a 30-year-old issue of Playboy magazine. Below is the artwork of Laugh Track Matt.

12 o’clock in the Fucking Midnight!

Chris S. from California, webmaster of The Octoshow, suckered some girl named Alyson Bender to draw this awesome rendition of Grouchy Old Man. Thanks, Chris and Alyson! You can view more of Alyson’s artwork on her DevArt page.

You can view more PLA-inspired art on the PLA art page or by looking at past PLA art posts. If you’d like to send in your own PLA artwork, email it to rbcp.

Trevor Gets a PLA Tattoo

Trevors PLA Tattoo

Earlier this week, Trevor became the first person on Earth to declare “PLA 4 LYFE!” by having a PLA bell logo tattooed on his butt his arm. Those of you who hang out on PLA’s Tinychat often enough have probably run across Trevor, also known as rasterdragon, from time to time. Trevor often runs PLA Movie Night whenever RBCP is too strung-out to do it himself.

Trevor will undoubtedly be cursing PLA’s name 10 years from now as he’s paying exorbitant amounts of money to have PLA’s logo lasered off his arm. If he’s smart about it, he will sue RBCP for corrupting his mind enough to let this instant of bad decision making happen. If you’d like to learn more about someone who would desecrate their body with our ridiculousness, visit Trevor on Facebook, then look at more tattoo pictures on his tumblr and be confused about his .info page. Trevor also runs his own Rappy McRapperson page to confuse people trying to find the real one.

Art, a comic and a picture to enrage

The picture above is by Sebastian, who posted it on the PLA Forums with this message: “I colored this picture of a pepper at the local Chili’s restaurant. I believe that, through this artwork and those of others, Phone Losers has a chance to live forever, maybe above the fountain drink machine or in a corner somewhere, and perhaps slightly overlapped by a better picture. We must all do our part.”

The comic above was done by Patrick Q. and posted on his Facebook photo album. I could be wrong, but I think it might be in response to a story we did on this week’s Phone Show about possibly the world’s first prank callers.

The story, from io9.com, says that a newspaper in 1884 printed the following paragraph: “A GRAVE JOKE ON UNDERTAKERS — Some malicious wag at Providence R.I. has been playing a grave practical joke on the undertakers there, by summoning them over the telephone to bring freezers, candlesticks and coffin for persons alleged to be dead. In each case the denoument was highly farcical, and the reputed corpses are now hunting in a lively manner for that telephonist.” This was 8 years after the invention of the telephone.

This Far Side comic was re-worded by cyko. I’m not sure what it originally said, but I bet cyko’s version is much funnier.

Finally, below is a picture that I created earlier today and posted on Facebook. Some people seem to think the quote is inaccurate, but they clearly know nothing about hacker culture or history.

If you’re the kind of person who likes humorous pictures that are nothing like the pictures above, then you’ll probably like Jeremy’s House of Funny. This is a new project started up by Heywood, the guy who used to run major-losers.com and has brought all kinds of wonderful things to the PLA this past decade. There’s nothing on the main page yet, but you should join us on the forums! You should also join his Facebook page which brings you humorous pictures throughout the day.

New PLA art by Badfish and TheN

Nick Badfish says that the picture above is a “projection copy in pencil” which is about a foot in diameter on the wall next to his stove. I’m going to assume that he drew this ON the wall and not on a piece of posterboard because he loves PLA so much that he’s more interested in spreading the love of the PLA logo than getting his rent deposit back someday. Go here to see the original post.

This drawing by TheN won’t make a lot of sense to you unless you’re a dedicated listener of The Phone Show and know about that one thing that happened with that one 7-Eleven clerk involving Twinkees, Gatorade and a mop bucket.

To see more PLA art, visit the PLA art page. If you’d like to submit something of your own, email it to RBCP.

PLA Artwork

All the recent submitted PLA art from people like HBB and Alex Cooper has made me decide that I really need to set up a page on phonelosers.org just for submitted art. So I did. Visit www.phonelosers.org/art/ to see the latest PLA drawings that have been emailed to me.

The page is looking a little bare right now, but I plan to keep adding to it from drawings that have been sent to me over the years. If you’d like your own PLA drawings to be added to that page, then email them to me. Besides being featured on that page, your art might get used on other sections of this website.
